MAC containers are used all over the world to hold goods in, create office space, smoking shelters, shower rooms and toilets and because they can be used like Lego have been used for some fantastically creative home alternatives. Amazing how technology powers in the changes as there seems to be no end to the uses for these amazingly secure containers that are also without condensation making them a space that people have used to store antiques as well as gorgeous sports cars.
I recently drove by the Southampton docks and saw huge vessels stacked to the skies with MAC containers it was a real site to be seen, knowing that you can easily fit the complete contents of a 4 bedroom house in one of these containers just makes a place like that even more awe inspiring. The huge crane down by the docks raising these vast containers through the skies as if they don’t weigh anything is a real site to be seen.
Having worked in the building trade for a while you often see MAC containers being used as office space and as secure stores. Because the hinges are on the inside of a MAC container they are thief and vandal proof which is why it has made them an obvious choice for the building trades. On site they are normally stacked with a huge assortment of tools that are locked away at night, but on really bad weather days you often find them stacked with builders attempting to get out of the weather (and sometime work!).
Where as you used to have these terrible Porta cabins at school which tended to leak and were generally uncomfortable, MAC containers enable you to have a dry, condensation free, heated space with windows and good lighting allowing you to broaden the space that a given school has available to it. This can make a significant difference as planning permission is often hard to come by and the planning office may be more open to a structure that can be simply taken away at a later date or when enough funding has been raised to extend the existing building. The other thing is with 190 colours to choose from you know you will choose something that will be able to blend into the scenery.
For me as the price of a MAC container isn’t that much I purchased one for my home as It provided me with a space to work on my cars without the worry of someone trying to nick them. It also meant I had a dry space that was simple to heat (I know but as the heating option was there it seemed daft not to take it) and made sure I could get on with total strip downs and services without freezing outside.
