Industrial music has often been darker, more negative, but this is beginning to change. There is this really sick synth-rock I saw by Matt Soren the other day that has a different angle on industrial rock music. His new CD is a mix of recovery music and the story of knocking out addiction.
There are some music downloads at his site at www.returnfrombroken.com. It looks like they are provisional while finishing official recordings. They sound clean to me but I am no audiophile. It is cool to see more rock like this written specifically for addiction help in a more enjoyable way from an addict that has had the experience and is making a difference for others. It’s nice to see this type of synth-rock stemming from the industrial outlet which is usually more negative in nature. Nice!
In addition, he has free songs you can get from his site and more in his members area which is all free. I also saw discount passes, album art, and other stuff. It will be nice to get the album once it is available. That’s my two cents!
